For Towing & roadside
The towing & roadside front desk that answers at 2 am — and books the job.
Roadside requests, exact-location intake, impound-release questions. Your assistant starts from a playbook for towing & roadside — what counts as an emergency, which jobs are common and how long they take, which questions to ask — then learns your services, hours, and policies.
An AI receptionist for a towing company answers every roadside call the moment it rings, day or night, finds out exactly where the vehicle is and whether anyone is in danger, and hands you a complete request before the caller tries the next number on their search results. Towing phones ring hardest when you can least answer them — on a highway shoulder, mid-hookup, or behind the wheel — and a stranded driver who reaches voicemail doesn't leave a message. They call the next company.
Conduit's towing assistant handles that first minute for you. A crash with anyone hurt, a car stopped in a live lane or on railroad tracks, or a child locked in a vehicle gets 911 guidance first and is put through to you, with your other emergency contacts texted in turn until someone has it. A driver broken down somewhere safe gets the questions you'd ask — exact location, year, make and model, what happened, where it's going — and that request is sent to you as a complete lead as soon as the call ends. Scheduled transports and junk pickups book into your calendar, impound questions get the answers you've given it, and it never promises an arrival time it can't know.
Emergencies, from day one.
These reach a person immediately — the caller gets safety guidance and is put through to you, then your other emergency contacts are texted in turn until someone opens the alert:
- a crash with anyone hurt or trapped, or a vehicle smoking, on fire, or leaking fuel
- stopped in a live traffic lane, on a highway shoulder, or stalled on railroad tracks
- a child, a vulnerable adult, or a pet locked inside a vehicle
- stranded somewhere unsafe — alone at night, in extreme heat or cold, or with a medical need
The playbook it starts from
- 01Capture every roadside request with the exact location, the vehicle, and where it's going
- 02Danger first: a crash with injuries, a live traffic lane, or a child locked in a car gets 911 guidance and a person now
- 03Send you each stranded-but-safe caller as a complete request as soon as the call ends
- 04Book scheduled tows, transports, and junk-vehicle pickups into your calendar
- 05Answer impound and storage-lot questions from what you've told it — hours, paperwork, what to bring
Plus confirmations and reminders, missed-call text-back (once carrier registration clears), the morning briefing, and every recording in Calls — the standard Conduit front desk.
A real call
11:40pm: a car on the shoulder and a dead battery in a parking lot
You're hooked up to a car across town when two calls land at once. The first driver is stopped on the interstate shoulder with trucks passing and a child in the back seat. The assistant tells her to call 911 first and keep her hazards on, says a person is being reached right now, and puts her through to you — if you can't pick up, your backup is texted next. The second caller is in a grocery-store lot with a car that won't turn over. The assistant gets the store and the row, the year, make and model, what the car is doing, where it should go, and his number, tells him you'll call back to confirm timing, and sends you the whole request as the call ends. Neither caller heard a busy signal or a voicemail greeting.

Questions
Questions from towing & roadside owners
Can it tell a real emergency from an ordinary tow?
Yes. The towing playbook starts from the real dangers: a crash with anyone hurt, a vehicle smoking or leaking fuel, someone stopped in a live lane, on a highway shoulder or on railroad tracks, a child or pet locked in a car, or someone stranded alone at night or in extreme weather. Those get 911 guidance first and reach a person immediately. A breakdown somewhere safe becomes a complete priority request for you.
Will it promise callers an arrival time?
No. It can't see your trucks or what you're already handling, so it never invents an ETA. It tells the caller you'll call back to confirm timing, captures everything you need to make that call short, and sends the request to you as soon as the call ends.
What does it ask a stranded driver?
What you'd ask: exactly where the vehicle is — road, direction, nearest exit or a landmark — and whether they're safe there; the year, make, model and color; what happened; whether it rolls and the keys are with it; where it needs to go; and the best number to reach them. You can add your own questions any time.
Can it handle impound and storage-lot calls?
It answers from what you tell it — lot hours, what ID and paperwork to bring, how to get a vehicle back — and takes a message for anything it doesn't know. It never discusses fees or argues about a tow; those calls go to you with the caller's details attached.
Will it quote prices on the phone?
No — never. It books the visit and takes the caller's details; pricing stays yours. Setup starts from a template of common services for your business type so it knows what you offer and how long each visit runs.
How fast can I be live?
Five setup screens, then your assistant gets its own local number the moment you pick a plan — calls are live that day. Forward your existing number any time; it stays yours and the forwarding is reversible. Texting switches on after a one-time carrier registration, typically 1–3 weeks later, sometimes longer.
