Because of what's inside the number. The $29 plans we verified on 2026-10-11 include 60 minutes (Dialzara, $0.48 a minute after) or 75 minutes (Reception AI, $0.45 after). Solo includes 150 minutes and 300 texts, books into your Google Calendar two ways, texts missed callers back, escalates emergencies to a human, and never bills an overage. Used to 150 minutes, those $29 plans cost about $72 and $63 — before texting, which one of them sells as a $19-a-month add-on plus per-message fees. Our minutes also only count when a real person is talking to your assistant. If you expect well under 60 minutes a month and don't need texting, a $29 plan is the cheaper choice.

Connected talk time between a real person and your assistant, measured to the second. Robocalls, spam, hang-ups under ten seconds, and calls your assistant takes in message-only mode are refunded to your pool when the call settles. Your own test calls count like any other call.

Nothing bills. Your assistant switches to taking messages — every caller still leaves a complete message that lands in your inbox and your morning briefing — and you choose whether to add a one-time pack or wait for the month to reset. There is no overage billing of any kind, ever.

No. Setup is free — build the whole assistant, hear every voice, see the dashboard, no card — and the demo call is public. Live calls cost real money, so every live account is paid. The guarantee is how we take the risk out of that: if the first 30 days don't convince you, the first payment comes back.

Calls work the day your assistant goes live. Texting takes longer, and we'd rather you know that before you pay than after: US mobile carriers require every business that sends business texts to be registered once, under its own legal name, before a single message can go out. We prepare and submit that registration for you and chase it until it clears — but the carriers run the review, so we can't approve it, expedite it, or promise a date. It typically takes 1–3 weeks from signup and can occasionally run longer. Until it clears, your assistant still answers every call, books jobs, and sends confirmations and reminders by email; the moment it clears, texting turns on by itself and we'll tell you. Carrier registration is included in your plan — there's no separate setup fee.

Yes — two people calling at 7:05 am both get answered. That capacity runs on shared phone and AI networks, so it is best-effort rather than a guaranteed number of simultaneous calls; in a rare spike an extra caller gets voicemail and a text back rather than being dropped. The Terms (Service limits & fair use) say the same.

One-time purchases, bought in-app, with no subscription and no auto-renew. They're used only after your plan's included allowance and stay yours for 12 months. Packs aren't covered by the 30-day guarantee.

Cancel any time from Billing. Your plan keeps working to the end of the period you paid for, then your assistant stops answering and the number is released. Export your data before or after. No retention offers.

No. Office includes a second business or location — its own number, its own assistant, its own calendar — under one bill, sharing 600 minutes and 1,500 texts.
