Begin here · step 4 of 6

Connect your phone to your assistant

Step 4 of 6: decide how calls reach your assistant — forward your own number or use your new one — and verify the connection so nothing drops.

This is the step that turns your assistant on for real: making sure calls actually reach it.

Pick how calls arrive

You have two honest choices. Keep your number and forward calls to your assistant (we hand you the exact carrier code to dial), or hand out your new Conduit number directly. Most owners forward on no-answer and when they're busy — see call forwarding for the per-carrier codes.

Verify it worked

After you dial the code, run the check — we confirm the connection rather than assuming it. Your line status chip then tells you the truth at a glance: "Answering," "Your phone rings first," and so on. If something's off, it says so plainly.

What's next

Time to hear it for yourself: make your first test call — step 5.

Common questions

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You can keep your number and forward calls to your assistant — after hours, when you're busy, or all the time. You stay in control from your carrier.
