Connect your phone to your assistant

Step 4 of 6: decide how calls reach your assistant — forward your own number or use your new one — and dial the one code your carrier needs.

This is the step that turns your assistant on for real: making sure calls actually reach it.

Pick how calls arrive

You have two honest choices. Keep your number and forward calls to your assistant (we hand you the exact carrier code to dial), or hand out your new Conduit number directly. Most owners forward on no-answer and when they're busy — see call forwarding for the per-carrier codes.

After you dial the code

That's it — forwarding is set on your carrier, and you only do it once. Your calls now reach your assistant by your schedule. Changed your mind? Dial your carrier's turn-off code (shown right next to the on-code) any time to send calls straight back to your own phone.

What's next

Time to hear it for yourself: make your first test call — step 5.

Common questions

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You can keep your number and forward calls to your assistant — after hours, when you're busy, or all the time. You stay in control from your carrier.
